This is a follow-up to my previous video, which featured a nice h-file attack on my opponent’s fianchettoed King. Like the previous game, in the game below, my opponent got distracted momentarily with Queenside play and neglected his King’s safety (to some extent, he was forced into this situation, as he had to find defenses to various threats). Also similar to the previous game, I was able to open the h file and infiltrate with my heavy pieces.
I had the White pieces in this game and played 1. e4. My opponent defended with the Pirc Defense. I played in Austrian Attack style with a quick f4 push followed by e5. One interesting feature of the position is my opponent’s misplayed Rook, which sits on h6 for most of the game.
