I’m not sure what the difference is between Reti Opening 1 and Reti Opening 2, but according to Chess.com’s Game Explorer, we played the latter.
This was a live blitz game with a 10|0 time control, and I again have the Black pieces! I played a pawn structure that I have seen played on John Bartholomew’s chess channel. Not sure If I played it correctly, but it was interesting to try out. I had to give up the bishop pair, but in return, I seemed to have a pretty safe King position. With the Kingside play minimized, I was able to turn the attention toward the side of the board where I was more optimally placed with my pieces.
Watch to see if this game works out better than the last one!
